Back to the start:
Tomorrow is this blog’s 1st birthday! I had to go 102 pages back to figure that out, but there it is! And ironically, I’m back where I was when I started—housesitting for my aunt.
Stats wise it doesn’t seem like I’ve made much progress—sure I’ve lost 6 pounds, and ran 175 miles and neither of these things seems like a big achievement. But there are so...

30 second plank today!
Edit: that honestly seemed like nothing and I’m tempted to double it.

For a healthy back
Good news: a healthy back also helps with joint flexibility and to strengthen of your stabilizing muscles, such as the abdominals. Therefore, all forms of exercise are beneficial.

Off the grid for a while:
My last personal post from a month ago was the beginning of a nightmare. I had a bad reaction to the medicines I was prescribed and by the week’s end I was in the ER. Needless to say this had an impact on my work and work out schedule.
To top it all off, job2 started to schedule me for 40 hr work weeks, in addition to the 20hr weeks at my internship. So health issues+60hr work...

I pulled a muscle in my back. I wasn't even doing...
Now I’m on muscle relaxers, and can’t go back to Job2 until I have a doctor’s release saying that I can lift 50 pounds. At first I wanted to power through it, but it just hurt so much.
My follow up is on thursday, meaning that in the least I’ll have missed tonight’s shift and tomorrow night’s shift. I’m going to try and tough it out at my internship...
Without tumblr, I would probably have given up a...

Resisting temptation is tough!
Instead of blowing 200 bucks on lululemon tonight, I was responsible and actually used the money for things I had been reserving it for—I cut the check to have my cat neutered, chipped, and given his shots.
And then I signed up for that race I keep hemming and hawing about running:

I am so so sooooo close to just ordering the items...
But my reluctance to spend money on myself combined with the nagging “oh, but you can’t buy new clothes—what happens when you lose weight and your expensive work out stuff becomes baggy?” is holding me back….but just barely. This week they came out with a really cute running skort and flow-y tank in PURPLE, which aside from green, is my favorite color. Both of these...

I lost 1.8 pounds in March, which is better than I...
I’m glad, but a little let down because I can’t attribute this loss to putting in hours at the gym or miles on the road—it’s honestly all due to working long hours on my feet and not having the time to veg out on the computer. I would have almost preferred that I had seen a loss like this during the many months that I spent working out, because I worked so hard.
It...

I know he’s looking for a job, and I know that not everyone is as obsessive as I am about applying to places when looking for work—but still.
